The popular and unpretentious Vivi Pizzeria in the Hollywood District of Woodinville is celebrating its 5th year of operations and it seems the locals and wine tasting community can’t get enough. 

Family owned and operated by veteran Chef Giuseppe Forte and Tanya Fraioli, the Italian duo offers a delicious bounty of authentic Italian dishes, and they serve it up with gusto night in and night out.


From daily specials and signature dishes like Fettuccine Tartufo, Pollo Parmigiana and Scampi di Gamberi, to the house-made bread, desserts, cocktails, and yes, even the limoncello, the family-friendly trattoria showcases a flavorful lunch and dinner menu with a variety of local and Italian-imported ingredients.


Crisp produce and hearty vegetables are hand-selected from area farmers’ markets while the seafood arrives fresh from sustainable fisheries, particularly Alaska and Washington, such as Taylor Shellfish. Robust cheeses, cannolis and gelatos, meanwhile, fly in from Italy. Chef Giuseppe, who’s been working the kitchens for the last 18 years, has his family in Sicily importing Forte Organic Olive Oil to the restaurant for an added touch. In turn, patrons can expect the freshest and highest quality dishes executed in a simple, healthy and traditional manner, just like they would receive if they were sitting down at someone’s home in Italy. “We don’t use any preservatives, and our team of chefs are always happy to craft a wonderful array of food for those with restricted diets, like one of our marvelous gluten-free pizzas from our wood-burning oven, or a savory entree for vegans and vegetarians,” adds Giuseppe. 

Without question, Vivi, as seen on Evening Magazine’s “Where the Chef’s Eat,” is an authentic slice of Italy in the heart of Woodinville’s burgeoning wine scene. The duo, who reside in Woodinville, as does much of their staff, are proud of their Italian heritage while sharing their culinary passion with the community. “Woodinville needed an Italian restaurant that embraced the local wineries,” says Fraioli. “All of our dishes pair exceptionally well with Washington wines, which we continue to promote and serve daily. Nestled beside Patterson Cellars and Gorman Winery, Vivi stands behind their claim with an impressive 1,000 wine bottle collection that spans the globe, with most, of course, coming from Washington and Italy. There’s also plenty of beers on tap along with daily wine specials that feature Washington wines made in small, limited quantities. 

Cozy seating inside the inviting and relaxed trattoria, amidst the sage-colored walls, rich mahogany floors, and real flickering candlelight, accommodates business professionals on the go, couples looking to share a romantic meal, and large parties excited to celebrate that special birthday or baby shower. For those preferring to dine outdoors, the heated covered patio welcomes dozens. “Enjoying a fantastic meal outside while listening to live music makes me feel like it’s summer year ‘round... even in February when it’s cold and rainy,” shares David McMillan, one of Vivi’s regular customers. 












Don’t feel like leaving the house or office? No problem. Vivi will assemble their good Italian eats and have it delivered fresh and hot right to your door. The celebrated trattoria also offers fast take-out service along with exceptional corporate and private catering options, including rehearsal dinners and weddings. There’s even a Vivi mobile pizza truck complete with wood-burning oven, perfect for that special holiday, party or sporting event. 

The acclaimed trattoria is open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Reservations are recommended.
